MiniWar Companion was released more than a year ago. We haven't made any update since the end of last year, but the project isn't dead. We spent a year on other priorities, but we are actually back on this project. And a lot of improvements are planned until the end of the year.
So first, MiniWar Companions apps where designed for Android 2.1 Eclair, which means it has the same behavior on Froyo and Gingerbread. Referring to the last statistics from Google at the time of this post, Gingerbread and older versions still holds 75% of market share. But our users stats shows that you are more than 50% to use Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean. This gives us good opportunities for thinking about nice features.
We where thinking about an tablet-compliant features, so we are trying a new design for the tournament companion. Actually, the app idea is great for you to track your tournaments but it does not allow to organize a tournament. Also, if you may be able to manage a tournament, there will lake the context of it which may be a convention or more generally, an event.
So in the following days, we'll release a new version of the tournament companion to roll out the first steps of this app. Keep an eye on this blog or our social pages.
